Visit to investigate SEND, Safeguarding and Pupil Premium
I re-visited the school on Tuesday 23rd November to carry out a follow up meeting, with the Headteacher Mr Dallinger, regarding SEND and Pupil Premium. We discussed the follow-on actions and initiatives covered in the first meeting and I was satisfied that progress continues to be made to an already strong capability within the school.
We then turned our attention to the topic of Safeguarding, as we all recognise that nothing is more important than the protection of, and support given to, all pupils at Kingsham Primary School. We walked through all current processes and procedures, plus the latest thinking and available training, plus further formalization of the monitoring and endorsement of the Single Central Register which is key to ensuring all adults, with access to the school, have been positively vetted and authenticated.
I am content that the Headteacher is giving Safeguarding the focus and attention it deserves, with the support of his staff, as we all agree that there cannot be any complacency in this area.
