Update from Suzanna Troy, Chair of Governors
We held our first Governing Body meeting of 2022 on Wednesday 19th January. Like many other meetings in this current climate, we met virtually however that did not in any way inhibit our discussion nor did it stop us from hearing about the hard work being done by all the staff at Kingsham to ensure that the quality of education being delivered is first class.
The meeting got off to an excellent start as we welcomed our new Parent Governor Mrs Tanner to her first meeting and continued in that very positive vein as three teachers, Mrs Swires-Hennessy (Music), Ms Leslie (History) and Miss Bruce (Reading) spoke to us about their particular subject areas and how they are delivered throughout the school. They spoke with such great passion about how their subjects are planned and taught that I must admit to feeling a little envious of the fortunate children who benefit from all that energy and enthusiasm.
Do ask your children about their lessons and what they learn in school each day as a lot of time and effort goes into making the curriculum interesting and relevant and whenever I speak to the children on my visits into school they love to tell me about what they are learning.
