Welcome to the Summer Term

29th April 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to the Summer Term! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter Break – we are so excited for the Summer Term ahead with Sports Days, end of year celebrations and some incredible learning opportunities to come. I would like to thank all of the staff for all of their work throughout the Spring Term. While there were plenty of challenges regarding Covid last term, the staff team have worked fantastically well together to give the children a real quality learning experience.

Transition

We will be arranging transition for the new children who will be joining us in Reception in September - we will write separately to those parents and carers.

For the rest of the school community, Transition Day is Wednesday 6th July. This will be an opportunity for all of the year groups to meet their new teacher for the day.

Fundraising

Our last week was a colourful one of fundraising. We raised a total of £679.40 for the DEC Ukraine appeal where we wore blue and yellow. We then also wore red for Comic Relief and raised a total of £253.13. Thank you for all of your generous donations for these important causes.

A huge thank you to the Friends of Kingsham Primary School who organised our Spring Disco and to all of the families who supported it. We raised £516.30 through the disco for the school!

Fundraising for Candy and Floss

A huge thank you to Poppy in Apple Class for raising funds for a new cage and a new run for our guinea pigs; Candy and Floss. Thank you also to all of the families that supported Poppy by donating money for the new equipment.

Some Highlights from the Spring Term

There were so many achievements and highlights from the children throughout the Spring Term. Here are just some of them:
