Non-uniform and a whole school picnic
We are planning some celebrations in school for King Charles III's coronation. Here are the details:
Non-Uniform – Red, White and Blue
We are asking all of the children to wear red, white and blue for the day to give the school a real celebratory feel. We would suggest that children wear trainers as we will be taking part in our whole school Daily Mile in the afternoon.
Coronation Picnic
To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, we will be having a whole school picnic on the field on Friday 5th May. We would also like to invite parents and carers to join us on the field from 11:50 for the celebration.
Children will have the opportunity to eat their lunch on the field, where we will be listening to songs from the special coronation playlist. Those children who have hot school meals will be able to take their fish and chips outside in disposable containers. Please remember that we are a nut-free school.
If you would like to join us for our picnic, please come to the school gates (through the staff car park) at 11:45 where we will sign you in. We will be outside until 12:50 when we will ask parents and carers to leave us for our afternoon learning.
After our picnic, we will have an assembly where the children will learn about the significance of the event and what to expect during the coronation on the Saturday and further festivities throughout the weekend.
We look forward to marking this special occasion, which will be a wonderful memory for our children to cherish.
