Summer Reading Challenge

Ready, Set, Read!

Children can become superstars at the library this summer!

Do you know a child aged 4 – 11 years? Why not encourage them to take part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge at their local library?

Their challenge is to choose and read some amazing library books over the holiday. They also receive a fab Champion’s booklet and the more they read the more scratch and sniff smelly stickers they collect. There are fun activities in the library too, including a Character Hunt with a chance of entering a prize draw. If they complete the challenge by Saturday 9 September, they are rewarded with a medal and certificate. They just need a library card to join in the fun.

What’s more; it’s free to join the library and free to take part! The fun starts on Saturday 8 July.
