The Green Gang have been encouraging everyone to 'switch off' as much as possible during the first week of Switch Off Fortnight to help save energy and the environment.

They completed a secret energy audit to discover which appliances were being left on when not in use and left a calling card as a reminder.

Posters have been designed as a reminder to switch off appliances in the classroom when not in use and each class has created their own pledge for this two-week period and beyond.

The keen Green Gang members have even come up with some energy-saving tips for homes, such as turn off appliances when not in use, turn the heating down and not leave appliances on standby mode.
