So Much to Celebrate in December
We have had a very busy time since the beginning of Christmas. The children have shown so many of their talents and their passions and enthusiasm over so many different events. We are incredibly proud of them.
Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Fair. It was an absolute treat to welcome the school community into the school so that we could all enjoy the range of activities that the PTA had organised. It seems that the PTA raised £1000 from all of the stalls around the school. A huge thank you for all of your support
On the same afternoon, Year 5 and 6 held their enterprise in the hall. They loved designing their enterprise projects and preparing their stalls. Following all of their hard work and your support they managed to raise £391.30 which will cover the costs of their vehicles with the rest being donated to the PTA.
Singing Squad have represented the school beautifully. From singing on the canal after meeting Santa, to singing on the Whyke Oval and then in the Assembly Rooms in Chichester. The comments we have received as a school have been overwhelming – we are very proud of them. A huge thank you to Mrs Swires-Hennessy and all the parents who have helped at the gigs this month.
We had Christmas Jumper Day and our Christmas Lunch on the same day – Thursday 12th Dec. Thank you to all of the families who donated to Save the Children – we raised £57. If you would still like to donate you can do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/lee-dallinger-1733923816870
A big thank you to the parent who donated the crackers for Years 5 and 6 and the PTA who donated the rest from the funds raised from the Christmas Fair.
We were treated to some truly excellent Christmas performances. The pride on the faces of the parents and carers reflected the pride of the adults in school. The children worked really hard and showed great bravery to sing and perform their hearts out. From Reception to Year 6 the performances really showed what a ‘singing’ school we are.
The Rotary Club made some incredible donations which we have distributed to families at school. We are incredibly fortunate to have received their generosity and kindness. A massive thank you!
A trip to the postbox so that our Reception children could post their letters to Santa. I hope he writes back!!
