We cannot wait to have the children back!
Dear Parents and Carers
As you will have heard in the national press, all children will be able to return to school on the 8th March. All of the adults in the school are very much looking forward to all of the children being back in school and being able to continue a highly successful year. We still have almost half of the year left to make a significant difference for all of the children at Kingsham!
Infection Control
As before the Christmas holidays, we continue to take our responsibility to control the spread of any coronavirus infection very seriously. A summary of the measures which we take (which are all contained in our updated risk assessment) can be seen here. We continue to prioritise the seven key areas, as laid out by the government, to prevent the virus from entering the school or from spreading. Additionally, many staff are undertaking twice weekly optional testing to ensure they cannot bring the virus into school.
Transition back to school
We fully appreciate that the transition back to school full time can be difficult for all children; whether they have been learning at home or in smaller bubbles in school. If you or your child are anxious about the return to school, please contact the school to speak to your child’s class teacher so that we can support you through this process.
Clinically Extremely Vulnerable Children
If your child has received a letter because they are clinically extremely vulnerable, could you please contact us so that we can discuss the arrangements for their return.
Times of the day
We will remind all parents and carers next week of the staggered start and finish times as well as the PE days for each class.
Best wishes to the whole Kingsham community.
