Register from today at your local library to pick up your goody bag
This year children can join the heroes of Wilderville, and their trusted animal companions, in saving the natural world. It’s fun and free to take part - your child should have brought home a special bookmark invitation with more information.
Get ahead of the game and sign up today online at www.westsussex.gov.uk/src then head to your local library from Saturday 10th July to collect a special goody bag. Inside you will find everything you need to take part in the challenge, including the ever-popular scratch & sniff smelly stickers, plus rewards and activities to help keep children amused over the holidays. Don’t forget to borrow some library books and start reading!
Children have all summer to read their chosen books but once completed come back to the library from Monday 2 August to collect a gold medal and certificate.
Want to learn more about the Summer Reading Challenge? Watch our Summer Reading Challenge assembly video.
For reading inspiration why not explore the official Wild World Heroes book list? Children can choose to read any library books and there are books of all kinds to choose from at their local library. Don’t forget, eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines all count too!
We have more fun resources and information on reading and the environment on our own Wild World Heroes webpage, where we’ll be sharing more activities to join in with at home throughout the summer.
